NIKKI

Here's what you need to know about Nikki! She's a newbie and has only been with us for just one year! We've made her feel very welcome. She's enthusiastic and driven, which shows when she is performing.

What makes you sad?

Nikki said that she sometimes misses her family in Thailand. With the help and support from our family here at the Lady Boys of Bangkok... and the love and adoration from our fantastic UK audiences...  she soon has a smile back on her face!

What’s your favourite thing to do when you have a day off?

“I love shopping in the different towns and cities we travel to.” Nikki loves costume jewelry and the more sparkly, the better!

Where in the world would you like to visit the most?

She would like to visit the 'Land of the Gods'. The goddess, Nikki, told us she'd like to go to Greece.

If you were not touring in the show what career would you like to have taken up?

Nikki likes to bake in her spare time too, hence why she “would open a bakery.” I'm sure she'd have some delicious sweet and savoury treats for us to try. 

Who is your favourite pop star?

We can see a resemblance between Nikki and this idol of hers. This singer knows how to shelter from the rain...

OAK

Our weekly update is about Oak! He's been journeying with us for 18 years! Our second longest team player after Mr Sak. Our show wouldn't be what it is without Oak. He's genuine, funny and an avid animal lover. Oak is both an energetic performer who has the ability to find tranquility and calm. He sure knows how to relax after a day's dancing!

Oak can find his inner peace with ease. He's halfway to the better place with those angelic feathers!  

What’s your favourite part about the show this year?

“The Lady Gaga medley!" Looks like we have another little monster in our midst! 

Who is your best friend on tour?

“Trevor and Ole" are his buddies!

What makes you sad?

Oak is such a caring guy. He gets upset seeing those who aren't as privileged; even more so when they're animals! He's got a soft spot for dogs too.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you have a day off?

“Experiencing the city we're in.” Oak likes to travel, see the sights and landmarks!

"My temple and my family." Oak is family orientated and his spirituality seems just as important to him. 

If you were not touring in the show what career would you like to have taken up?

We know Oak has a passion and flair for cooking. He's even said to us that'd he'd like to own his own Thai restaurant! Can you imagine if Ole and Trevor were helping him behind the scenes? Chaos!

Oak loves the Queen B.

MR SAK

This week is all about Mr Sak! He had our hearts from the very beginning. Sak is a company manager for the Lady Boys of Bangkok and has been with us for 20 years! He's our diamond forever.

(Getting younger each year mind.)

Sak designs lavish costumes each year for our show. He is also a featured performer in the production!  

Born in Bangkok, Sak, is now a major driving force for the show. He helps make the next production even more spectacular than the last.

What’s your favourite part about the show this year?

“Lady Gaga!" Sak is clearly a little monster! 

Who is your best friend on tour?

“EVERYONE." He may be a monster but his heart is big!

We asked, what makes you laugh, Sak? His response was “when the staff talk and joke!" I'm sure Sak will share a little more gossip next time!

“When my staff are sick or have a problem.”

“Shopping and... GOOD coffee and food.” Sak must be a BIG spender!

“I would open a shop, a dress shop!” Full of his fabulous creations we can guarantee.

TREVOR

This week is all about Trevor! Everyone knows and loves Trevor, how can you not?

Trevor has been with The Lady Boys of Bangkok for 11 years, he’s a key part to our big family! 

Originally from Oldham Trevor brings something unique to the show.

What’s your favourite part about the show this year?

“Hmm, in the Wonder Women show it’s split between ‘Can’t Do It’ and ‘Mary Poppins’ I can’t pick a favourite!”

Who is your best friend on tour?

“Oak!”

Hmmm are you sure Trevor, that doesn’t look like how best friends should be!!

When we asked Trevor what makes him laugh he replied “Very bad jokes from Phillip Gandey” … Hmm, no one tell Phillip that!

As the kids would say, shots have been fired!

What makes you sad?

“Missing my two children when I’m away is the biggest thing that makes me sad!”

(don't cry, don't cry, don't cry)

What’s your favourite thing to do when you have a day off?

“Catch up on the news and rest my little legs!”

We can all relate to that!

What city in the world would you like to visit most?

“Maldives”

If you were not touring in the show what career would you like to have taken up?

“I’d be a bouncer at Mother Care!”

We're not sure they'd give you the job dressed like that Trevor!!

OLE

Ole was born in Phetchabun in Thailand, and is one of our most beloved cast members, everyone knows Ole! Always bringing laughter to the audience and to the rest of the cast and crew off the stage it's impossible not to adore him! 

So to kick off our new feature of sharing some inside scoops with you, we of course, had to start with Ole! We recently sat down with Ole and had a little chat about some of his favourite things and the Wonder Woman tour!

Ole has been with the show for 15 long years! 15! You wouldn't think it he's still got such a lovely and youthful face!

Ole's favourite part about the Wonder Women 2018 tour is the Tina Turner section of the show, Tina Turner also just so happens to be his favourite pop star!

Ole who is your best friend on the tour?

"Everyone! But Trevor is a great friend, we do a lot together and he always makes me laugh!"

Isn't he nice, though we don't know if he said that just because a lot of cast members were in the room - ha ha!

When we asked Ole what makes him laugh he replied "Myself" - What a sass queen, but at least an honest one!

What is your favourite thing to do when you have a day off?

"I love to go shopping on my days off!" Who doesn't? Right ladies!?

What makes you sad?

"Hmm, I get sad when I have to go on long journeys." We can't blame Ole, long journeys are never much fun.

What do you miss the most about Thailand when you are on tour?

"When I am on tour, the thing I miss the most is my family back home in Thailand." 

(We're not crying, you are!)

If you could visit anywhere in the world where would you go?

"Austria! I just absolutely love the Sound of Music and the mountains."

We think Ole would be a great casting choice if they ever remade The Sound of Music!

If you were not touring in the show, what career would you have taken up?

"I would have love to have opened up my own gift shop!"
